Men's Merino Wool Shirts

A merino shirt should fit the way you intend to wear it. A crew for the office, a running top and an underlayer need different amounts of room.

How to choose

Begin with the shoulders and the intended hem position. If a tee pulls across your upper back when you reach forward, extra length will not solve the problem. If it fits through the chest but comes untucked, look for documented body length rather than assuming the next size is longer in the right places.

For a small wardrobe, choose the format before debating wool percentage. A plain tee works with an overshirt; a polo supplies its own collar; a long sleeve can sit under a jacket. Buying several similar crews is less useful when your actual gap is a shirt you can wear to a meeting.

Keep an eye on fit descriptions in the listing. A base-layer crew may be intentionally close through the torso even when it resembles a casual T-shirt in the photograph. Our shirt-versus-base-layer guide separates those two jobs.

Can a men’s merino shirt work for someone who normally shops another department?

Yes, if the measurements and shape suit them. Department labels describe the seller’s range; they do not replace checking shoulder width, chest room and length.
